
(Manama) – Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh received Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA)’s Assistant Undersecretary for Arab & Afro-Asian Affairs and Organizations in the presence of Ministry of Health (MoH)’s Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Affairs, Dr. Waleed Al Mannie.
Dr. Shaikha Rana Al Khalifa briefed the minister about significant outcomes of the first policy consultation meeting between the foreign ministries of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan held in Islamabad on July 12, during which the Pakistani side welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the establishment of the King Hamad Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences University in Pakistan as agreed during the successful visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the country in March 2014.
Shaikha Rana Al Khalifa also briefed the minister about the outcomes of her meeting with the Pakistani Minister of State for Health Services’ Regulation & Coordination, Saira Afzal Tarar, during which she confirmed her desire to view the Kingdom of Bahrain’s experience in the field of healthcare.
The minister commended the successful visit of Dr. Shaikh Rana Al Khalifa recently to Pakistan that achieved the mutual objectives in boosting the close friendship and cooperation ties between the two countries in various fields.
