Al-Hariri named new prime minister of Lebanon

(Beirut) – Lebanese President Michel Aoun has named former Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri to form the new government.

In a press statement, the Presidency Office announced that President Aoun had asked Al-Hariri to form the new cabinet after making the necessary parliamentary consultations.

Al-Harir served as Prime Minister of Lebanon from 2009 to 2011.
