ERC sends food assistance to Abyan, Yemen

(Abu Dhabi) – The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has sent two humanitarian aid convoys to Abyan Governorate, as part of its continuous humanitarian assistance to Yemen.
The convoys included 4,000 food baskets and other basic requirements for the advantage of the population in the governorate.
The beneficiaries extended thanks and appreciation to the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for providing the much-needed humanitarian assistance which contributes to alleviating the suffering of the people.
They also confirmed that the UAE’s assistance would contribute to supporting their steadfastness while addressing the dire circumstances in the light of the developments and challenges being witnessed by the Yemenis in general.
Local officials in Abyan also expressed their appreciation to the role played by ERC which covers all walks of life such as health, education and other vital sectors.
