(Abu Dhabi) – The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Tajikistan expressed their mutual interest in developing bilateral relations and their keenness to drive their cooperation towards further growth and development, in a way that will realise the aspirations of their leadership and peoples and serve their common interests.
The two countries also expressed satisfaction over the level their diplomatic relations since inception where their bilateral and multilateral cooperation has witnessed an ongoing development under an atmosphere of mutual understanding and mutual benefit.
This came in a joint statement on the joint statement on the development of joint cooperation between the UAE and the republic of Tajikistan at the end of the visit made by the President of Tajikistan, Emomalii Rahmon.
At the end of his visit, President Rahmon expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leaders of the UAE for their warm welcome and generous hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation.
President Rahmon invited Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to visit Tajikistan.
They accepted the invitation and the date of the visit will be set through the diplomatic channels.
