(Dubai) – H.E. Sheikh Majid, Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), and Festival Patron opened Fifth Gulf Film Festival with a red carpet ceremony attended by a bevy of Gulf and Arab film stars.
An exciting showcase of 155 quality films from 40 nations is being screened at the festival, with all screenings open to the public. The festival will continue through April 16 at Dubai Festival City. In all, 347 films are being screened at the festival, across its Gulf, Gulf Student and International shorts competitions; and the out-of-competition Lights, Intersections, Films for Children, Cherries of Kiarostami and Gerard Courant showcases.
