UAE-Tunisia vow to strengthen ties

Sheikh Abdullah and Abdul Salam(Dubai) – Foreign Minister of UAE, H.H Sheikh Abdullah received the Tunisian Foreign Minister Rafik Abdul Salam, at his office in the Ministry. Both the leaders discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, as well as issues of mutual interest.

Then Sheikh Abdullah and his Tunisian counterpart held a joint press conference. Speaking at the press conference Sheikh Abdullah said, “UAE is looking forward to maintaining strong, fruitful and progressive relations with Tunisia”.

Abdul Salam also praised the deep-rooted relations between the two countries and extended an invitation to Sheikh Abdullah to visit Tunisia. He also briefed about the phases of building a democratic nation in Tunisia.

Speaking about the regional developments, both the leaders said that regional stability is important, and efforts are being made by all parties to maintain that stability.
