(Dubai) – Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received Her Majesty Queen Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard of the Netherlands at the Zabeel Palace.
The meeting was attended by Crown Prince of Dubai H.H Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai H.H Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group H.H Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Minister of Cabinet Affairs H.E Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of State for Financial Affairs H.E Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State H.E Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander General of Dubai Police and a number of senior state officials. Delegation accompanying Her Majesty including HRH Willem-Alexander Prince of Orange and his spouse HRH Princess Maxima of the Netherlands also attended the meeting.
Welcoming Her Majesty, Shaikh Mohammed stressed the importance of the royal visit, which paves the way for opening new horizons for cultural, economic and political cooperation.
The Queen praised the qualitative evolution of civilization witnessed by the UAE under its wise leadership and also hailed Dubai’s world reputation as exemplary at the state level.
Leaders of the two countries also reviewed UAE-Netherlands relations and discussed ways of strengthening them at various levels.
