Sheikh Mohammed meets UNDP Deputy Secretary General

Mohammed receives UN Deputy Secretary General(Dubai) – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received Rebecca Grynspan, United Nations Development Programme Deputy Secretary General at Za’beel Palace.

The meeting was also attended by H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy ruler of Dubai, H.E Sheikh Hashr bin Jumaa Al Maktoum, Director of Information Department in Dubai, H.E Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimi, State Minister, Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, General Commander of Dubai Police, a number of officials and Director of the UNDP in Abu Dhabi.

Grynspan briefed Sheikh Mohammed on the Global Human Development Report and UAE’s rankings.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of UNDP programmes being implemented in poor areas and also explored ways to further boost communications and cooperation between the UAE and UNDP.

Grynspan thanked the Vice President for the humanitarian assistance being provided by the UAE to the areas hard hit by the droughts, natural calamities and wars, praising the UAE’s record in this respect.
