(Abu Dhabi) – The President, H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Yemeni Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa at the Dhiyafa Palace in Mushrif.
The meeting was attended by H.H Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; H.H Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council; H.E Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; H.E Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; H.E Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs; H.E Abdullah Matar Al Mazroui, UAE Ambassador to Yemen; and a number of senior state officials. A high-level delegation comprising a number of Yemeni ministers and Yemeni ambassador to the UAE Abdullah Hussain Al Dafai also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Yemen’s PM briefed Sheikh Khalifa on the measures adopted by Yemen’s interim government to achieve political stability in Yemen.
Sheikh Khalifa graced the endeavors for carving out a national unity and assured UAE’s support for the efforts of the Yemeni people to rebuild their country and achieve joint national action.
Both the leaders also reviewed the UAE-Yemen fraternal relations and explored ways to foster them in various fields.
Basindwah while commending UAE’s assistance said, “The Yemeni people highly appreciate the role of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and his keenness on providing support and assistance to Yemen, especially in the economic, developmental and humanitarian areas”.
