Romney takes victory in New Hampshire Presidential Contest

Romney(New Hampshire) – Mitt Romney has won the New Hampshire primary, the second state in a row he has carried in his campaign for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Ron Paul came in second; Jon Huntsman in third.

Romney is the first Republican to win both the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary since Iowa Republicans began holding their first-in-the-nation caucuses in 1976.

It was a start-to-finish victory for Romney in New Hampshire. From here, the candidates go on to South Carolina; the first primary in the South where the crucial test for presidential contest will take place on January 21.
