UAE President meets Pakistani PM

(Rahim Yar Khan) – The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the end of his private visit to Pakistan. Sheikh Khalifa extended thanks and appreciation to the leadership, government and people of Pakistan for the warm reception that he has received, wishing continuous progress and welfare for Pakistan’s government and people.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in all domains, expressing their satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations and the progress made in cooperation in various areas, which is reflected in the strong ties between the two friendly peoples.
Sheikh Khalifa described the relations between the UAE and Pakistan as “distinguished and developing”, and stressed the importance for the two sides to continue their role for mutual benefit as well as for bolstering understanding and cooperation.
President Khalifa emphasised UAE’s keenness for continuous support to Pakistani people, which would enable them to achieve development, stability and welfare in various domains. They also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest on the regional and international arenas.
On his part, Nawaz Sharif expressed his thanks and appreciation for overall UAE support in a number of projects in various provinces and the humanitarian assistance for Pakistan.
