(Abu Dhabi) – UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was briefed on the UAE Foreign Aid Report for 2012, issued by the Ministry of Development and International Cooperation. H.H. Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Development and International Cooperation, gave the presentation at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs also attended the presentation.
During the presentation, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his satisfaction with the report, stating that the volume of humanitarian aid documented in the report amounted to Dh 5.8 billion, which reflects the noble humanitarian values implanted by the founding fathers of the country, in addition to the teachings of Islam. 137 countries around the world benefitted from UAE aid last year, ranking the country 6th among the biggest donors in 2012.
