Sheikh Mohammed visits the ‘Big 5’ Exhibition

(Dubai) – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, today visited The Big 5 exhibition, the region’s largest construction exhibition, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre. He was accompanied by the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Mohammed toured various pavilions and viewed some of the products exhibited at the event which is hosting 2,800 exhibitors from 174 countries. He was briefed about some of the latest technologies and techniques used in the construction industry.
Sheikh Mohammed was also accompanied by Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, and Director General of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, DTCM, Hilal Saeed Al Marri.
Launched in 1979, The Big 5 International Building and Construction Show is the Middle East’s largest construction exhibition. Also taking place parallel to the event are PMV Live, the leading plant, machinery and vehicles show in the Middle East, and Middle East Concrete, the only regional event for the concrete industry.
The Big 5 International Building and Construction Show serves as a platform for the building and construction industry to showcase cost-effective and time-efficient techniques. The event also provides unparalleled access to industry knowledge with 45 free-to-attend accredited seminars taking place in addition to key conferences and live demonstrations on-site. The Big 5 International Building and Construction Show, PMV Live and Middle East Concrete offer 55 CPD certified and free-to-attend workshops.
