Sheikh Mohammed calls for world peace(Dubai) – Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai International Peace Convention (DIPC) initiative was announced.
Tolerance and security were the words of the hour being announced on the convention that will be held at at the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 12 until 14. Also present were H.E. Dr Hamad bin Al Sheikh Ahmad Al Shibani, Chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award and H.E. Dr Omar Al Khatib, Chairman of the DIPC.
Noted Islamic dignitaries will be seen speaking at the event, including Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais, Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca Saudi Arabia; Sheikh Mishary Rashid Al Afasy, Abdul Rahim Green from UK, Dr Zakir Naik from India, Tawfique Chaudhary from Australia, among several others.
This year’s DIPC will pick where the first edition left off, addressing the issues that have occurred over the years due to misconceptions of Islam.
