(Ankara) – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces met with Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Also present at the talks were H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Dr. Gargash Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Khaldoon Khalifa, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, H.E. Hamad Al Hur, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Finance Department, H.E. Nasser Ahmad, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, H.E. Mohammed Mubarak Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, and Khalid Khalifa Al Mualla, UAE Ambassador to Turkey. Attending from the Turkish side were Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutolu, National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz, and a number of top Turkish officials as well as Turkish Ambassador to UAE Vural Altay.
During the talks held between the two leaders, mechanisms of enhancing UAE-Turkey relations were discussed. They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region with an eye on current events in Syria and issues of mutual concern.
Hailing the bilateral relations H.H. Sheikh Mohammed said, “The UAE-Turkey relations were built on solid foundations of mutual interests and respect, underlining the sincere desire to deepen these bonds and pushing them forward for maintaining security and stability in the region”.
For his part, Tayyip Erdogan marveled at the spectacular progress made by UAE and added that Turkey and UAE have a common conviction on the importance of pushing bilateral relations of cooperation ahead so as to serve interests of the two friendly peoples.
