(Abu Dhabi) – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has held official talks with the President of South Korea, Park Geun-hye, about friendship and co-operation, strategic common interests and a number of regional and international issues.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed received the Korean President, who is paying an official visit to the country, at a welcoming ceremony for the guest, where a band played the national anthems of the two countries, and the Artillery Regiment fired a 21-gun salute in honour of the guest.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed shook hands and greeted the senior officials accompanying President Park Geun-hye, who also shook hands with a number of Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.
At the outset of the talks, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the Korean President, expressing delight at the visit and hoped that it would contribute towards further strengthening the long-standing friendly bilateral relations and co-operation.
President Geun-hye said she was glad to visit the UAE and confer with its leaders on the best means to solidify bilateral ties, explore avenues for wider joint co-operation in all fields so as to serve mutual interests.
South Korea, she added, was looking forward to wider co-operation and co-ordination with the UAE in economic, developmental and trade domains.
