Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed congratulates Malala

(Abu Dhabi) – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, congratulated young Pakistani education campaigner Ms Malala Yousafzai, on receiving the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize.
During their telephone conversation, His Highness stated that this international recognition was very much deserved, and believed that her tireless commitment to girls’ rights to schooling would continue to have a positive, lasting and global impact.
His Highness expressed to Malala that she is a role model in her determination to provide a better future for humanity, and that her unwavering determination is an inspiration.
He also stated that her strong will to ensure that women have access to education instilled confidence and determination in so many. His hope was that the prize would contribute to increased global awareness for the importance of women’s education, and give women everywhere the best opportunities for development and growth.
Malala is the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
