(Dubai) – Welcoming Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammed Javad Zarif at Al Rawdah Palace, President of UAE His Highness Sheikh Khalifa said that the UAE welcomes the developments witnessed by Iran and the signing of an initial agreement on its peaceful nuclear programme.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also received Mohammed Javad Zarif at Zaabeel Palace in Dubai. The Iranian foreign minister conveyed the greetings of President Hassan Rohani to Sheikh Mohammed. Sheikh Mohammed received an invitation from Mohammed Javad Zarif to visit Iran and he accepted it.
During his meeting with the Iranian foreign minister, Sheikh Khalifa discussed matters relating to bilateral relations, the GCC-Iranian relations and various developments in the regional and international arenas. Sheikh Khalifa conveyed his greetings to Iranian President Hassan Rohani, wishing him good health and further progress and prosperity for the Iranian people.
The Iranian minister also conveyed to Shaikh Khalifa the greetings of President Rohani and Iran’s appreciation of the UAE’s stance towards the initial agreement between Iran and the P5+1 countries and the United States on its peaceful nuclear programme.
