PM sets up Dubai Centre for E-Security

PM sets up Dubai Centre for E-Security

(Dubai) – Vice President and Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has issued Law No. 11 of 2014, establishing the “Dubai Centre for E-Security”.
The centre will be a corporate body and enjoys legal status, financial and administrative autonomy. It aims to protect information, communication networks and government information system in Dubai. It also aims to develop and modify the use of necessary means in the e-security, and develop efficient ways to save and swap information among all government authorities in the emirate.
Sheikh Mohammed also issued Law No. (11) of 2014, on the formation of Dubai Centre for E-Security’s Board of Directors, under the chairmanship of Mohammed Dhaen Al Qamzi.
The decision will be effective from the date of its issuance, and shall be published in the official gazette.
