(Grozny) – Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Chechen President Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov attended part of the national celebrations marking the 199th anniversary of the establishment of the capital Grozny and the 41st birthday anniversary of the Chechen President. The celebrations were held in the presence of a number of Presidents, senior officials and and a host of people from Chechen.

The celebrations featured cultural, artistic, heritage and folkloric functions which reflected numerous aspects of the history of Chechen and the development phases of its capital. The festivities also included festivals in which a large number of people from Chechen and the capital Grozny took part. A major concert was also organised with the participation of many singers who showcased outstanding artistic tableaux depicting the beauty of the two occasions. Also, there was a mass wedding for 199 brides and bridegrooms symbolizing the number of years since the establishment of the capital city.

Shaikh Nasser conveyed the greetings of HM King Hamad and his best wishes to the President of Chechen and the audience, stressing strong relations between Bahrain and Chechen. He expressed happiness about participating in the festivities, lauding determination and cohesion of Chechen leadership and people which helped re-build the capital that suffered from many wars in modern way while maintaining its glorious history. He congratulated the President and people of Chechen on the national occasion, pointing out the ongoing development of Grozny and wishing Chechen more progress and prosperity. He lauded the achievements of Chechen under the leadership of its President, wishing the President abundant health and a happy return of the occasion. He also commended strong ties binding Bahrain and Chechen on the basis of mutual respect and common interests.
