Leaders of UAE and Bahrain discuss key issues(Al Ain) – The President, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain at Al Rawdah Palace. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was also present at the meeting.
President Khalifa and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed welcomed King Hamad and the delegation accompanying him. The two sides discussed the distinguished bilateral relations and ways of boosting coordination and cooperation. They also exchanged views on the latest Arab, regional and international issues.
For his part, King Hamad expressed his pleasure about visiting his second country and meeting UAE President and Prime Minister. He commended the UAE’s stands towards his Kingdom. King Hamad expressed his country’s keenness to strengthen its ties with the UAE in the best interest of the two peoples.
He praised the effective role of the UAE under the leadership of Sheikh Khalifa, citing his support for the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States (GCC) and for all Arab issues. Later, Sheikh Khalifa hosted a lunch banquet in honour of guests.
