(Manama) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa patronised part of the major national celebrations organized by the Education Ministry to mark the 17th anniversary of the National Action Charter.
HM the King was welcomed upon arrival at the NAC edifice in Sakhir by Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi and the ministry’s senior officials. HM the King was welcomed with cheers of students taking part in the celebrations, who came from different public and private schools and universities.
After a student orchestra played the royal anthem, students Mithaq Sayed Abbas and Mithaq Ibrahim Ali, who were born on the NAC voting day, February 14, 2001, presented a commemorative a gift to HM the King, followed by an operetta composed by Mohammed Al Jilwah.
HM the King thanked the participants in the celebrations organized to mark the national occasion and lauded the festivities which, he said, reflect values of patriotism. HM the King commended the efforts exerted by the educational institutions to reinforce the culture of national belonging, promote values of tolerance and moderation and consolidate the concept of citizenship.
The minister voiced thanks and gratitude to HM the King for patronising the celebration, stressing the great support and care given by HM King Hamad to the educational sector. He pointed out the achievements brought about in the prosperous era of HM the King.
He highlighted the ministry’s efforts to bolster Bahrain’s Arab identity and its constant support for talented students, as they are the focus of Bahrain’s attention.
