(Manama) – His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, received Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health, at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness affirmed that, under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad, the interests of Bahraini citizens remain the focus of development and the foundation of all initiatives
His Royal Highness emphasised that the sustainable development of the Kingdom’s service sectors, and in particular the healthcare sector, represents a key priority for the Kingdom
His Royal Highness stressed the importance of building on both countries’ shared visions and longstanding bilateral ties by increasing cooperation across key sectors, including healthcare
His Royal Highness highlighted a range of measures currently being implemented across the Kingdom’s healthcare sector in-line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, including measures to increase oversight of healthcare professionals and to strengthen public-private partnerships
For his part, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah expressed his appreciation for the level of cooperation and coordination between the two countries, while acknowledging Bahrain’s achievements in enhancing the performance of the Kingdom’s healthcare sector in-line with international standards
Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Health, and Faiqa bint Saeed Al Saleh, Minister of Health, also attended the meeting.
