GCC Foreign Minister’s Meet Canadian FM

(New York) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, participated in the discussion session, held between the GCC Foreign Ministers and the Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister, John Baird. During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 68th Session of the UN General Assembly, the Foreign Minister’s discussed relations between the GCC States and Canada and ways to enhance them in all levels. The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani was also present in the meeting.
They exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest. GCC foreign ministers expressed their desire to hold strategic dialogue with Canada in addition to the existing strategic dialogue with the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.
