(Dubai) – The Dubai World Energy Forum (WEF) has kicked off at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. In his opening statement, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy ruler of Dubai, welcomed the UAE guests and thanked them for accepting the invitation to participate in this global event which is held for the first time outside the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The three-day event aims to boost the international cooperation and exchange of expertise to ensure safe and clean sustainable energy, which would achieve economic and social welfare for the people.
