(Manama) – His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa expressed optimism about the future, wishing prosperity to Bahrain and the region.

Receiving officials, media figures and economists, at the Qudaibiya Palace yesterday, HRH the Premier resolved to take the development march forward, regardless of attempts to put hurdles in the process, taking pride in the Bahrainis’ contributions to the national march.

HRH Premier highlighted the government’s keenness on promoting the private sector to become a key tool for pushing the comprehensive development, urging to focus on economic development and distancing from matters that do not serve the development course.

The Premier underlined eagerness to further boost the economic sector, paying tribute to the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)’s efforts to take on responsibility, pointing out the national role of traders and businesspersons in supporting the national economy.

He also praised the intellectuals’ endeavour to enlighten the community and the press and media men’s role in expressing the people’s aspirations.

HRH Premier wished Bahrain and its people further progress and wellbeing under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the occasion of the new year.

The dignitaries lauded HRH Prime Minister’s interest in directly listening to citizens’ needs and aspirations, as well as his constant effort to bring more development and prosperity. They reiterated their commitment to continue promoting Bahrain’s standing at the regional and international levels.
