(Manama) – The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa held an Iftar banquet at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Officers’ Club. The Deputy King was welcomed by Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, upon arrival.

The Deputy King emphasised the integral role that law enforcement officers continue to play in strengthening Bahrain’s safety and security, which he said is an important component of the national economic development programme, led by HM King Hamad.

The Deputy King highlighted the MOI’s continued efforts to advance officers’ skills and capabilities, noting their commitment to the codes of conduct enshrined within Bahrain’s rule of law.

HRH also welcomed the wide-ranging initiatives and programmes introduced by MOI to build partnerships within the community and maintain best performance measures.

In praising the efforts of MOI officers, The Deputy King highlighted the sacrifices of fallen officers, who selflessly dedicated their lives to defending Bahrain’s national security and laws.

The Deputy King extended his best wishes to the Minister of Interior and all MOI staff on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

On behalf of the MOI, the Interior Minister expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness for recognising the role MOI officers play in protecting the Kingdom’s security. The Interior Minister went on to reiterate the commitment of MOI officers to protecting the safety of Bahrain’s citizens and residents, stressing that the Kingdom will continue to enjoy progress and prosperity under the leadership of HM King Hamad.
