(Manama) – Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF),Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, paid inspection visits to a number of BDF units and branches.

Upon arrival, the commander-in-chief was welcomed by the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, Royal Guard Commander, Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and a number of BDF senior officers.

He got briefed about the units’ development and modernisation schemes, their work process, as well as their military readiness, equipment and training programmes.

The commander-in-chief called on the affiliates of those unites to be creative and exert more efforts in order to achieve the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander.

He stressed that since its inception, the BDF has adopted optimal plans to advance its weaponry and training, adding that the BDF has brought about quantum leaps in terms of weaponry and trained staff.

Now BDF matches the strongest armies in the region thanks to its weapons, equipment and advanced combat systems, as well as its highly trained and qualified leadership, administrative and technical competencies.

The commander-in-chief expressed deep appreciation to the BDF affiliates for their loyalty to the nation and the leadership, as well as their outstanding competence and readiness to perform their patriotic duties of defending the homeland’s security and stability.

Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply and Catering Rear Admiral Youssef Ahmed Malallah, and Director of Military Works, Brigadier Abdulaziz Fadhl Al-Buainain were present.
