Bahraini-Malaysian cooperation discussed

(Manama) – Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Malaysian Ambassador to Bahrain Ahmed HahizanSamad, who was accompanied by senior officials working with Malaysian energy and water giant EAG Capital.

The two sides discussed energy projects which have been implemented in the region. Dr. Mirza stressed on the Government of Bahrain’s support to all foreign investment in the electricity and water sector, as part of the close cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the private sector.

The ambassador thanked the minister and other officials for the warm welcome and the hospitality and praised Bahrain’s encouragement of foreign investment.

Executive Vice President of planning and projects at the Electricity and Water Authority Ibrahim Al Kaabi, Sustainable Energy Unit manager Jihan Murbati and the minister’s technical adviser Dr. Ahmed Hashim were present.
