(Riyadh) – The Arab Coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen has regretted Medicine Sans Frontiers – MSF’s decision to evacuate staff from 6 clinics in northern Yemen.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted a statement by the Arab Coalition as saying; “We greatly value the work MSF does for the people of Yemen under difficult circumstances. We are seeking urgent discussions with MSF to understand how we can work together to resolve this situation.”
The Coalition said it was committed to full respect for international humanitarian law in the conduct of operations in Yemen.
The statement said that the Coalition has established an independent Joint Incidents Assessment Team “to investigate reports of civilian casualties resulting from Coalition action and to recommend changes to our operations where problems have occurred.”
