(Abu Dhabi) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Chairman of the Education and Human Resources Council, chaired the fourth meeting of the Council, held at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi.
At the beginning the meeting, the minutes of previous meeting were approved. Then Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education reviewed the previous recommendations of the Education and Human Resources Council.
Jameela bint Salem Misbah Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education presented the results of /TIMSS / PISA/ for all categories of students in various private and government curricula, with a focus on the performance of Emirati students. She also briefed the meeting on a proposal to increase a number of Emirati students to participate in these tests.
Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation gave a presentation on required emiratisation proportion in the national agenda and classification of job seekers.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed called, at the conclusion of the meeting, on inclusion of all government schools nationwide to the international assessments. He added that this would reflect on future performance of the Emirati students in such tests, and develop the educational system in the UAE to achieve the national agenda 2021 indexes.
