(Ras al Khaimah) – H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, attended the ceremony for the presentation of the 10th Government Excellence Awards at the theatre at Ras al-Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU).
The Awards ceremony which was organised by the Sheikh Saqr Programme for Government Excellence (SSPGE), was attended by Sheikhs, senior officials and heads of local departments.
Dr. Mohammed Abdul Latif Khalifa, Director-General of the Sheikh Saqr Programme for Government Excellence, said the ceremony coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Government Excellence Awards, which was launched by the far-sighted vision of the late Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, based upon the directives of Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi.
He noted that the award, since its establishment, has achieved a number of milestones through contributing to enhance development of government work in all fields, as well as the spread of a culture of innovation and creativity in government services.
He also confirmed that these accomplishments were attained due to the unlimited support of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, and the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah and Chairman of the Executive Council, and the efforts of all local government departments.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Director-General of the Sheikh Saqr Programme for Government Excellence presented a souvenir to the Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, who was the patron of the event.
