UK Ambassador visits Dubai Police’s Command & Control Centre

(Dubai) – British Ambassador to UAE Philip Parham and British Consul General in Dubai Edward Hobart, have visited the Command and Control Centre of the General Directorate of Operations at Dubai Police, where they were received by Brig. Eng. Kamel Butti Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Directorate of Operations, and Brig. Omar Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Director of the Command and Control Centre.
They were briefed about the development attained by Dubai Police in the area of ​​community service, nature of work at the centre, patrol control system through satellite, fixed and mobile cameras and others, traffic on the roads of Dubai Emirate and procedures taken from the report of accident until arrival of the patrol to the scene of accident.
The British envoy viewed the three-dimensional map covering all the areas of Emirate and mobile system of security patrols. He was also briefed on other services provided by the centre to public.
