(Germany) – The United Arab Emirates has won a bid to host the WorldSkill competition in 2017 following a stiff competition from other countries. The UAE was officially named host of the 2017 edition of the competition by the WorldSkills International during the current competition, taking place in Leipsig, Germany.
H.E. Hussain Al Hammadi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) congratulated President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on this win.
Simon Bartley, President WorldSkills International, congratulated the leadership and people of the UAE and said that he was confident of the country’s ability to organise such a prestigious international event.
