
(Manama) – His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honorary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association, Founder of Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts Organization (KHK MMA), patronises the second edition of BRAVE Championship for Professional Mixed Martial Arts – Brave 2 at Khalifa Sports City under the slogan #Determination_Strength_Challenge.
HH Shaikh Khalid highlighted that the goal of the event is to be bigger than just a championship, the main goal is to strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position globally by expanding the championship internationally. This will allow the world to witness the Bahraini experience through this global sport, which is one of the most prominent sports of today and receive wide acclaim in addition to growing popularity among the youth in different countries.
His Highness commented:
“We have been able to launch this championship through our belief in our abilities, our faith in the future goal of turning Bahrain into a global station and compete with the strongest organizations in this sport. Our hope is to progress and attain the highest levels of success with each edition, which is what makes us seriously look into the future and expand the championship internationally. Our other goal is for this championship to cross continents and become one of the successful championships, positively impacting and developing the sport of mixed martial arts on a global scale to benefit the development of Bahraini MMA.”
HH Shaikh Khalid added: “We are proud with Bahrain’s ability in organizing this international championship that attracts the stars in this sport, and which will be hosted in the Kingdom’s arena to deliver strong competitions filled with excitement and thrill.”
His Highness stressed his faith in the Kingdom’s ability to repeat the success achieved in the first edition, praising the efforts of the Organizing Committee for establishing this event. His Highness also wished luck to fighter Hamza Al Kooheji in the match against Pinoy fighter, Jeremy Pacatiw.
