Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and Aviation Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud died outside Saudi Arabia.

A statement by the Saudi royal court carried by Saudi Press Agency said: “With deep sorrow and sadness the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud mourns the death of his brother and his Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, who died on Saturday morning abroad following an illness.

H.H Sheikh Khalifa announces three days mourning period

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has mourned the death of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who passed away Saturday morning after leading a life full of giving for his country, the Arab Nation and the Islamic Nation.

On this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa announced a three-day mourning period in the UAE from Sunday and that the UAE national flags will be flown at half-mast at the country’s government

departments and institutions.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended his heartfelt condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, the family of Al Saud, and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant him a place in Paradise and bestow patience and solace on his family.

Saudi Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz has died, the palace announced on Saturday, leaving his brother Prince Nayef the likely successor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
