(Dubai) – H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance received Richard Lochhead, Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment and the delegation accompanying him at the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Dubai.
The meeting was also attended by H.E. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of His Highness The Ruler’s Court of Dubai and a number of officials.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation and ways of boosting them at various levels.
The Scottish minister hailed the modern renaissance, ideal development and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
He thanked Sheikh Hamdan on starting a new flight of Emirates airline from Dubai to Scotland.
The minister, on behalf of the Scottish prime minister, invited the UAE students of Al-Maktoum Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies who were sent on scholarship to Scotland by Sheikh Hamdan, to attend the Scottish Parliament’s session to be held on February 23 in the capital Edinburgh.
